A private household helper
Household notices, ready for a reviewed family calendar.
Cubitt Family Admin runs on a household Windows PC. It finds useful dates in connected email accounts so school notices, bills and vehicle-service reminders can be checked and added to a shared calendar.
How it works
- Read connected mail. The owner authorises read-only access to Gmail and, optionally, Outlook/Hotmail. The worker reads message text and metadata without marking messages read or changing folders.
- Extract and review. A model running on the same PC suggests event details. The application checks quoted evidence and dates, and holds unclear, changed or conflicting notices for review.
- Add approved entries. Reviewed titles and dates/times can be written to the selected Apple shared calendar. The household's Home Assistant calendar integration can then include them in a voice briefing.
Access is limited to this purpose
Gmail uses the gmail.readonly permission. Optional Outlook/Hotmail access uses delegated Mail.Read plus the sign-in permissions needed to maintain the connection. Apple access uses an app-specific password for the selected calendar.
The worker does not send emails, issue calendar invitations or make payments. This version does not extract notices from attached PDFs or images. Calendar descriptions are empty by default, so entire emails and attachments are not copied into new calendar entries.
Private household use
This is a personal tool managed by its household owner, not a public account-registration service. Automatic approval is off in the initial configuration. Check the source notice before relying on any proposed reminder.
Read the privacy notice for local storage, provider access, retention and removal details, and the terms of use for the tool's limits.
